I got approved for the apartment I’ve liked best so far out of all the ones I’ve visited. I am still scheduled to look at a few more (see my goog cal for details) but I might end up moving in early to secure this one - even if I end up paying for an extra month of rent, it will end up being cheaper than the other places I have looked at.

So I am now looking at moving options. Grant and Brian both have pickups, or I could get it all done in one trip with a Uhaul for about $80. If I can convince one of the guys to trade cars with me I will pretty much only have to make up the differential in gas, which I’m guessing would be about $4 or $5 per trip, so a max of $15 for truck-requiring objects. Decisions!

My phone is kind of broken and my laptop is kind of broken. What the hell? The phone at least can be used most of the time, but it is still annoying. The laptop I can get to work maybe 10% of the time. I need to get both of them fixed, I think; they both suffice for my needs and it is cheaper to fix them than buy new ones.

It is really hard for me to feel embarrassment, at least for any immediate and superficial thing. I spent a lot of my drive home this evening sticking my hand out the window and shaking it in time with the music, while singing at my standard volume level. This is something that is probably embarrassing to most people for a good reason, but while I can recognize that it SHOULD BE to me, it just isn’t. I believe that I get this from my mother.
